Depending On God
The Girls on the Big Blue Couch™ Show
Episode 9

Faith is an important part of our lives here at Big Blue Couch Coaching. So today, we’re going to talk about Depending on God…

Bible Verse Focus: “People with their minds set on you, you keep completely whole, steady on their feet, because they keep at it and don’t quit. Depend on God and keep at it because in The Lord God you have a sure thing.” ~Isaiah 26:3-4, MSG

Can you keep a secret? Sometimes we forget to depend on God. We don’t mean to, it just…happens. We start out with our minds steady on Him, and then He gives us a great idea and we’re off running without even asking for more instruction.

Then you know what happens? We stumble. Trip over our own feet. Before we know it, we feel lost and insecure; like complete failures who want to quit. Broken pieces removed from the whole we are designed to be.

Have you ever felt this way?

Some would say that it’s normal to feel this way. Normal by the world’s standards, that is. It’s not normal in God’s world. He never meant for us to have these feelings. He never meant for us to feel less than He designed us to be. And that’s great news! It means there’s hope. Hope, not in ourselves, but in Christ Jesus.

Dear friend, we pray that today we will each let go of the incessant striving that does nothing but leave us unraveled. Confused. Less than. Instead, let’s set our minds back on God. Let’s depend on Him and keep at it, because in The Lord God, we really do have a sure thing.

Words of Life To Remember: In Christ, I am whole, steady, and fearless!

As we end today’s message, we invite you to take action with this easy action step:

Read Isaiah 26:3-4 again, speak those words of life out loud, and share with us how doing those steps impacted your day in the comment section below. We love to hear from you!

Needed this as I have not been able to make clear choices lately and likely because my focus has not been on the Lord but things of this world. Thank you for sharing.
