Created to be Brave
By: Raychel Chumley
Do you consider yourself a brave woman? You might not, but whether you feel like it or not… you were created to be brave. When God knit you together in your momma’s womb he poured courage into your DNA. Let’s talk about a few of the characteristics brave women have…
She does Brave things
A brave woman is often required to do brave things. She knows she can’t be courageous if she has nothing to muster up her courage for. She is brave in the midst of great struggles and adversity. And, takes baby steps, and giant leaps, of faith as the Spirit leads her. Always looking for the good in all situations because she knows beautiful sprouts grow out of ash piles.
She is Joyful
A brave woman knows that being joyful is not the same as being happy. She understands that joy is being content despite her circumstances so she intentionally grows in the disciplines joy and thanksgiving. She is unapologetic in her belief of God’s goodness and faithfulness. In the midst of fearful situations she is confident and bold.
You’ll never do a whole lot unless you’re brave enough to try. Dolly Parton
She is Faithful
A brave woman of God has great faith and is faithful to the process. She knows that if God called her to it He will see her through it. She is brave in the midst of controversy and misunderstanding because great love requires great sacrifice. And, is willing to learn through trials and rests in the assurance that God is able.
We were all created to be brave. And every woman has the ability to grow in the characteristics that describe bravery. We just need to be reminded every once in awhile of the great courage that surges in our veins.
