We all have negative self-talk. Mindless chatter that stops us from moving forward and accomplishing goals. The Girls on the Big Blue Couch™ are not immune to the chatter, but we have learned how to block it…
How do the Girls Block the Chatter?
1. POST IT NOTES
Write down encouraging quotes or Bible verses on a post it note and stick it to your bathroom mirror.
- Raychel’s verse – Psalm 31:25 She is clothed with strength and dignity; and she can laugh at the days to come.
- Mandy’s verse – Psalm 112:7-8 She will have no fear of bad news; her heart is steadfast, trusting in the Lord. Her heart is secure, she will have no fear; in the end she will look in triumph on her foes.
2. SPEAK IT OUT LOUD
Speak the words that you wrote on the post it notes out loud several times a day. We call these Truth StatementsTM
3. CONFIDE IN A BESTIE
When the chatter is overwhelming, reach out to a friend!
